I'm 27 and have complained about tightness in my chest. My doc seems to think its reflux related. I have had an EKG and it was fine. I do fatigue easily and experience breathlessness during exercise. I think my doc dismisses that because I am somewhat overweight. I do have other symptoms, please let me know what you think...anybody!!!
1. My left arm feels like the circulation is being cut off, I have a day here and there where I don't have this problem. The past couple days have been pretty bad. I just want to cry sometimes. It's not a sharp pain, but a tightness. This has been going on for several months.
2. When I am laying in bed on my left side, my chest feels really heavy and I get dizzy.
3. I also developed an undiagnosed cough in early April. It has some what dissipated, but I still make a whistling sound when I breathe lying down. This one may be completely unrelated. My doc seems to think it was whooping cough.

Sotired, an EKG is not much help. Some questionable help if abnormalities are observed during test.
Fatigue and SOB can be physical conditioning and lack thereof therof.
Has a pulmonary disorder been ruled out? It can be secondary to a heart problem, etc. Or it can be primary.
Your symptoms are respiratory in nature, and you should see a pulmonary specialist. Wheezing indicates partial obstruction of air waves due to edema, inflammation, etc. You want to rule out a tumor.
Whooping cough is an infection causing inflammation of air passages. The present condition may be a residual of whooping cough but the condition should be investigated.

There is no such thing as too young for heart problems. Im 21 yrs old living with Atrial fibrillation. This is where your heart races (up to the 300's BPM) and to make it worst not in rhythem! It could very well be you heart. Have you had your cholesterol checked? You should also try taking a low-dose aspirin daily... see if it helps. However if you think the cough is related... it could be. You see, your heart works with your lungs very closely... so its definantly something worth getting a second opinion on. Also.. dont expect your health to improve if your not helping it along the way. So try 30 min of brisk walking daily, and limit your daily caloric and fat intake. You'll feel much better.. I promise!! I've lost 70 lbs. naturally, and my only regret is living with it for such a long time. Good luck!!

Yep you're never to young for heart problems mine was picked up at 19 and now at 27 i have severe heart failure i am not overweight and it is unexplained i had no symptoms it was picked up in an ambulance. Keep on their backs and ask them to do all that is required to make sure you do not have it

Hello, I went into heart failure at 26, I am now 28. I would get a echo of your heart and if it's ok go see a pulmonary specialist. A regular doctor can send you to get an echo so i would start there, also if you have a doctor that won't listen to you, and won't give you tests you want go see another doctor.
also making sure your heart is in good shape before you start working out could be a good thing.
whats your resting heart rate? BP?
