Ive seen a few of you post that you have congestion etc with your sinuses and TMJ so thought id post this. Mine seem to drain a lot - and quite honestly they get set off more than when this started. Do any of you have problems with drainage and excessive throat clearing? If you do, what do you do for it?

I constantly drain, and have constant throat clearing, especially in the mornings. I haven't figured out what to do yet -- antihistamines make it worse it seems. I don't take decongestants since they make me a little too wired. I also have developed intense itching in my ears. My first symptom was ear pain.
My TMJ doctor never asked me about this. I went to the doctor last week and asked if my ear itching could be related, and she said YES but didn't explain.
She prescribed a muscle relaxer for night time and I wear my splints nightly (one upper and one lower, alternate).
After I looked up ear itching, I also saw that drainage and throat clearing can also be a part of the problem.
I plan at this time to have massages and physical therapy added to my treatment. I am also going to be more diligent about my stretching exercises and also wear my bottom splint more often (can't talk with the top one).
