Hi All,
Just a brief report of interest. It seems that dental surgery is a risk factor for BPPV!
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo after dental surgery
Eur Arch Otorhinolaryngol. 2007 Jul 24
G Chiarella et al.
In summary:
They investigated the relationship between dental and maxillofacial surgery and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) ... considered eight BPPV cases focusing attention on dental surgery with particular reference to surgical extraction of included teeth through rotating tools. The cases taken into account had no other inner ear disease and BPPV risk indicator. They concluded that dental surgery is a risk factor for BPPV.
