View Full Version : Acuvue 2 Contacts and Blurred Vision

Since I last posted about my situation, a few developments have occurred. I am wearing the Acuvue 2 contacts -- my left eye is fine; right eye develops blurriness after I blink, then it goes away. My eye dr. says this is because I have a very slight astigmatism in my right eye. He tells me to live with it. Meanwhile, my previous eye dr. gave me a toric lens for the right eye. I don't get the blurriness, but the vision isn't crisp. Help! What do I do???

I'm going through the same thing. My doc is trying different sizes with me since my eyes seem to be more flat than round. He gave me Acuvue2 too to start with and said the blurryness like you described is due to the wrong fit. I'm on my third trial pair and it's getting better. Don't take "live with it" for an answer, that is unacceptable.

Sounds like you need your lense script increased slightly in that toric, maybe that he just wanted to make sure the toric is what you needed in that eye before bothering with the exact propt prescription. Eye doctors have a tendancy to do this. Simply call your eye doc and ask for a follow up on that toric lens if it has not been to long, if so they like to make you pay for a visit. I have worked as an optometry Tech and this just sounds like the case in my opinion.
