View Full Version : Has anyone else (ladies...) experienced this as a symptom??

Hi everyone. Gents, not sure if you'll be able to help on this one!! :-)

My first outbreak of GH has cleared up and I've been fine in terms of symptoms for almost a week. I did notice a few days ago a strange possible symptom - but I haven't read anything like it in any of the threads or on any websites.

My OB was all exterior, and from the sounds of what I'm reading that seems fairly normal. Due to paranoia :-) I have been checking myself every day. I noticed a few days ago that there is an area INSIDE that is swollen and red on one side of my vagina. There is a very tiny "whitehead" on this swelling, it isn't on the top or anything. The swelling itself would be about the size of a quarter, and the "whitehead" is just a pinprick.

This area isn't sore, itchy, irritating or anything. But it definitely doesn't match the other side or belong there!! I first noticed it during the last day or so of my outbreak. I was on Valtrex for about 4 days after I noticed it (and 6 days before I noticed it), but there seemed to be no change.

Anyone have any thoughts?? I AM seeing my doctor tomorrow, but thought I'd run it by here as well as it gives me the opportunity to present ideas to him...

Thanks

I feel your paranoia - Having recently been diagnosed I am going thru exactly the same thing. Every time I itch anywhere I seem to slide into panic mode. I finally did find a spot that swelled with a couple pin ***** pimples. I don't really have the burning or itching but occasionally it feels like I sat on a tac. The nurse told me I'm just one of the lucky ones. I have been on the meds for 4 days now and the only difference is the pin ***** feeling is pretty much gone.

It's a strange feeling to be so afraid of one's own self.

Good luck
