View Full Version : Adding weights... question

I run 3-5 miles 4-6 days a week in the morning. I have just started using 5 lb dumbells to do some light weight training with (better than nothing I guess). I do 15x2 front and back lunges (So i guess 60 each leg) and also various arm exercises, probably hitting each muscle-- doing 3 reps of 12-15. I feel it when I do the arms, but I have no doubt that I should be using a little heavier weights for my arm, but havent purchased them yet.

How often should I be doing these excercises... If i "feel" up to doing them, would it be wrong to do them daily? Is it to much?

My goal is to to tone up, weight loss wouldnt be a bad idea... Is this even enough to see results like that? Thanks! :)
