Do you get the same benefit using a treadmill that you would walking on the normal street? We have a nice gym in our community & I'd like to start using it, along with the Elliptical we have.
Would I see the same results? I normally do Tae Bo but I find myself becoming bored every couple of days now, and I don't want to just stop altogether!

You get better results in the treadmill, than walking, even though walking out in the outdoors is good for you too. I walk and run on the treasmill and it gives me great results. And I do it everyday for 30 min. You loose alot of calories and it makes you loose weight really fast. And is also healthy for you.

When I walk on my treadmill I never hold on to it, and I always have it set at an incline. It is easier on my knees than walking on concrete plus I can watch TV while I do it. So for me, it's a better workout.

Thanks for the tips, both of you! I'll probably start using the treadmill & elliptical then as I love both. Plus, Fall & Winter will be here before we know it, so it'll be nice to listen to good music & be in the warm indoors when it does turn cold. I find myself getting bored too easily walking outdoors, lol. I love the outdoors but to make myself walk daily for "no reason" really, it's hard to stay motivated!
Thanks again!!

Keeping your body guessing is key. Do not get into a rut of doing the same routines on the same days because your body builds up a sort of tolerance to it and it becomes just normal activity. Try switching out between the elliptical, treadmill, and walking outside. I am from Ga, too. If you live in the city itself try your walks around some of the great parks we have that you may not have explored or down some of the streets with great shopping to look in the windows. I find the hardest thing about cardio is not getting bored. Give yourself some eye candy and you will be surprised by how fast the time goes by. Good luck!!!!
