Hey there!

I am wanting info on the Eye problem Map dot atrophy. My mother has recently been diagnosed with this problem by an Eye Specialist here in New Zealand.

I have found a bit of info on the web but i am wanting a little more detail.

i.e Is it common? Is it Hereditary?
Are all cases degenaerative? What causes it???
I would appreciate some input.

Cheers

LJ

Not sure it's the exact same ailment but here's a web site to look at that answers your type of questions.

I just found out I have Map Dot with Recurrent Corneal Erosions. I am currently taking a steroid and antibiotic combo to deal with the problem.

As a sidebar, I lived in Auckland, New Zealand for five months and loved it! I realize this is off topic, but thought it was worth a mention.
