Hello everyone,
Im new to the thread, and I would like some helpful suggestions on a routine or a way to tone down and loose between 25- 45 pounds. I was really athletic in highschool but since I've entered the job world overtime kinda gets in the way for fun and healthy activities.
Now I work in the field of corrections so at any given time I need to be able to hold my own and help if something goes wrong.
I need to run, but when it comes to weights and stuff, do I work more for muscle or do I need to just do enough to tone down?
Please and thankyou for any suggestions,

ANy type of cardio is best for eliminating belly and hip fat. That is my problem. As far as weights go, a lot of gyms offer a complimentary personal trainig session with a new membership or they will at least have someone show you the machines and proper form. It maybe worth a small investment to get a trainer to show a routine that will work best for you. My mom and I work out together, have a similar body type and we worked with the smae trainer. However, ou rroutines are drastically different not only in weight and reps, but in exercises and intensity. They can help you get into a routine that suits your ability, helps meet your goal, and that can grow and change with you as you get stronger and lose more weight. Good luck. Don't be afraid to get back there with all the men and work it out!!!
