Lately I've been nauseas all day until late at night. About a month ago I started feeling a strange sensation in my abdomen right under my bellybutton. The only way I can describe it is it feels like fish swimming. Then, a couple nights ago I got this feeling like something pressing against the inside of my stomach with force, like kicking. It happened again two times the next day. Other than that I have back pain. I'm not pregnant, I've had my period every month, in June it was late and the doctor put me on birth control. Since then, (I'm on my second pack) I've had a full week of bleeding 4 times. So, I'm certain the bleeding is from the birth control, even though I've been taking it at the same time every day. But what I'm wondering is if the birth control can cause the other symptoms, and if not, what can cause them?

You need to take a pregnancy test. Some women have their periods the whole time they are pregnant and it's not good for the baby for you to be on birth control. I can't think of anything else that would feel like what you are describing.

Take a pregnancy test just to be sure.

Hormonal birth control does not agree with a lot of women. I did fine on the pill for several years, but then my body just had it. I started to get a lot of pregnancy symptoms on the pill including sore, swollen breasts, feeling like the cells of my body (especially my abdomen/stomach) were constantly pushing outward, a hard bulgy area over my uterus (about the same as I look now that I am actually 5 months pregnant!), food cravings (especially for milk, which I normally dislike), no libido, extreme moodiness & anxiety, and a ton of water retention in my feet & lower legs. I took home pregnancy tests, I had blood tests done, I was not pregnant.

However, all the symptoms did turn out to be caused by the pill. I quit taking the pill and after a couple of cycles, the symptoms went away. Now, I am halfway through my pregnancy (we were trying to conceive and got pregnant quickly), and I have to say I felt more pregnant on the pill than I feel now that I actually am pregnant!

But do take a home test just to be certain. If the pill is causing those symptoms for you, my advice would be either to try a different pill or just stop hormonal birth control. Like I said, hormones don't agree with some women.

I took a home test in June, the day before the doctor put me on the pill. It was negative. Plus I know its possible to get your period when you're pregnant, but I've just had SO much bleeding, I don't see how I could be. I'm going to talk to my doctor about putting me on a different one, but my appointment isn't until the end of the month. Until then I don't want to stop taking it. But my nausea has gotten worse the past couple days, is there anyway I can reduce the severity of it, if not get rid of it?

I don't think you are pregnant. maybe you need to change brands, many women need to find the right brand for them, with the right dose of estrogen.
if you feel nauseous, maybe you could change the time when you take it to shift the time of feeling sick and you can go through your day.
