Hello...I'm new to this group. I'm a thirty-something female with long time ADHD and dystemia (long term, low-level depression). I've tried Ritalin, Prozac, Welbutrin, Lexapro, and Adderal. The Ritalin and Adderal helped because of the stimulants, but the crash was bad. All the other just made me feel weak, exhausted, and sleepy. I've heard (cod) fish oil supplements are helpful. Does anyone have any ideas? THANK YOU!

Yes, it's very good and even if it doesn't help you, you'll be getting a natural sources of vitamin A and D! You might also want to try the regular fish oil or salmon oils which have a bit more Omega's than cod liver oil.

I have same problem. As it turns out I had Shrink appointment yesterday and he prescribed Welbutrin and a lower dose of methlyphenate.

I'll let you know if it works. I got a "good feeling" about though.

PS I agree with Jennita - fish oil can't hurt. Hate to throw a monkey wrench in the gears, but I not only tried it, I still take it (cod fish oil) and nada on ADHD management. But "can't hurt."

Addendum to my previous post:

If I consider cod fish oil in with all the dietary changes I've made - lots more vegies and a lot less fast food and white flour/sugar - than "Yes" definitely it helps.

RE: Depression. Many ADHDer's experience depression because of ADHD. "Fixing" the ADHD, fixes the depression. Here is the cool thing - regular exercise can help with ADHD and depression whether ADHD related or not.
