View Full Version : Seizures and Sleep Apnea

I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and seizures. Doctors are not sure if the seizures are causing the sleep apnea or if the sleep apnea is causing the seizures.

I have been put on Keppra 250mg twice daily and am going to the sleep lab this week to try out a CPAP.

A little scared about all of this. This is very new to me as for the past 2 years doctors have been treating me for panic attacks. Which turms out was not panic attacks at all.

Actually - I do believe I did have a panic attack at first but then things just didn't seem right. I was in this constant fog and was tired all of the time. My Phyciatrist sent me to a neurologist who then figured out it is not panic. EEG came back abnormal.

Currently along with the Keppra I take Klonopin as needed.

Anyone have any encouraging words. REally scared at this time.

I am going through the same exact thing right now.

They do not know which is causing what.

i also take Keppra 250 twice daily and klonopin as needed.

i was told though not to take it at night as it can be dangerous with sleep apnea.

Let me know how things go!
