Hi Cyn and Scoob, Thankyou for answering. Having very low or nill cortisol can give symtoms simular to some of the fms symtoms but, can if not treated, it can kill you. It has to do with endocrine or hormonal systems. My doctor is the new one and he says that it is important to check out all possibilities. Like Addison's disease. My doctor says that fms can be brought on by diffent things and it is important to check every symtom the paitent has and to research. I just wanted to know more. Thanks again, Kim

Kim, if you have low blood and 24-hour urine cortisol then you definitely have an endocrine problem. This is a very dangerous condition and you need to find the cause. You might have Addisons but you also might have a pituitary tumor. Your doctor should be sending you to an endocrinologist ASAP and that doctor should conduct an insulin induced hypoglycemia test to determine what is wrong and how to fix it. You should also consider an MRI to rule out a pituitary brain tumor. I know, because I had such a tumor and it took 5 years before the doctors finally figured it out. They thought I had chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, lupus and arthritis, but it wasn't any of those.

Hi Cyn, This doctor is great. But, he think that there are a several things wrong w/me. He Said I was an inegma, Ha; little did he know when I walked through his door. He said I was to take the Koladopin and Gary would have to ge up at night; he already does. The next week he saw Gary boy, he said we were a pair. The doctore likes research and is great with people skills. How did that 20/20 thing work out in Baltimore? We get our MRI's next week. We've been up since 3:20am. oh, well. Take care, Kim

My experience Kim is that there are lots of doctors out there who don't know what they are talking about. And, if you have an endocrine problem, you have a serious problem that most doctors don't take seriously.

Why are you just having a cortisol stimulations test, why not a complete hormone check up using the insulin induced hypoglycemia test?
