I have written a poem regarding my condition that I would like to share with others who may feel as I do. I have been diagnosed with bi-polar, pts and having the emotional level of a four year old due to childhood abuse. Thus, I wrote this poem hoping others may find strength in it.

LORD GROW ME UP
TAKE AWAY ALL THE FEARS
MAKE ME LIKE OTHERS
AND DRY MY ALWAYS TEARS

LORD GROW ME UP
TAKE AWAY BI-POLAR TOO
SO THAT I CAN BE
MORE APPRECIATIVE OF YOU

LORD GROW ME UP
TO OTHERS OF MY AGE
TAKE AWAY THE DEMONS
THAT ALWAYS SEEM TO RAGE

LORD GROW ME UP
MAKE ME A WOMAN STRONG
ABLE TO UNDERSTAND
A GROWN WOMAN'S SONG

LORD GROW ME UP
SO EMOTIONALY I CAN BE
PASSING FROM GIRL LIKE
INTO A WOMAN'S MATURITY.

Your poem made me cry. I just lost my husband that had bipolar. I hope the Lord hears you.

Beautiful poem! I believe the Lord is with us always, even in our depths of depression. He hears our cries and in time he will answer them. It is hard to know what to do or how to hold on when we are in it.
