Well, are you not on an antihistamine? You don't mention that. You should be on one - Zyrtec or at least benedryl. But, dustmites are probably the number one allergy. Everyone has it! Join the club!
And surgery won't do anything for allergies. Surgery just makes your sinuses drain better.

Kimberly,
I have reaction to dust mites too and work hard to sleep well in spite of it by:
o Allergy covers for mattress, box, pillows
o Regular washing of sheets and blankets, at least 1x/week
o Don't sit on any furniture with pajamas on, else sofa or easy chair dust mites will get onto bedclothes and come to bed with you.
o Wash other pollens out of hair before bed. Few things are as ironic as having an allergy-free pillow that you dump hair-caught pollen onto.
o And a neti pot has done wonders in keeping sinuses clear. I use distilled water, since chlorine irritates the sinuses.
o Finally, 2-3 benadryl (no prescription antihistamine at this time)
= pretty well managed for the degree allergies I have.

I get hives on the back of my thighs when I sit for a long time. Does that sound like an allergy to dust mites?
