Since im going to be increasing my calorie intake while trying to gain lean muscle would doing hiit cardio affect how fast i put on muscle? Im thinking of doing a 15 min high intensity cardio between 3-5 times a week just so i stay in shape and dont put on too much useless fat.

That should be all right. If you're not seeing much in the way of muscle gain after a few weeks, cut the high intensity cardio in favor of a longer, low intensity cardio. You'll be burning fewer calories (so more will be available for muscle building) and risk to muscle will be minimal.
