Hello Everyone,
Every year I stay at my friend's lake house for a 3 day weekend and everytime my allergies act up when I goto bed. No matter what bed I sleep in, I'm all stuffed up and I have really bad drainage. The lake house stays closed up for half of the year.

I had an allergy test about 10 years ago and was allergic to just about everything. However, right now they do not bother me as much except for this house.

Is there a device I can purchase to run in a room of the house to help me out at night? Humidifier? Air Purifier?

And any other suggestions would be wonderful. I'm already taking a mattress cover and my own pillows.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I would try an air purifier... one with a HEPA filter. You can buy them at most stores now. Run it for most of the day, especially in the beginning. You may want to get a guage to determine the current humidity in the house. If it's already humid and moldy a humidifier might make things worse than better.

I would get out as fast and as far as possible from this house, and have a mold and air licensed remedial specialist perform tests.
Once the nervous and immune systems are sickened with mold, it stays there for ever. There is no known cure.
