Has anyone associated having an IUD with the recurrance of BV? I entered a new relationship 9 months ago and have been experiencing bouts of BV followed by yeast infection ever since. I have read that 3 things contribute: new sexual partner, IUD and douching. I am thinking of having the IUD removed as I doubt I can get pg at this point in my life. I have never experienced this before. I am also 53 years old and probably have some hormone issues. This is a very discouraging situation. Any ideas?? This message board has been very helpful.
