I currently have have three symptoms of cirrhosis. Toenails turned almost all white two years ago, fingernails are getting whiter. Dr. did blood tests for liver function, and ultrasound of abdomen, all normal. Went to dermatologist and she didn't know what it was, probably hereditary she said. Spider angiomas starting appearing on neck and now forearms. Dr. did bloodwork again and Ct scan abdomen/ pelvis, all normal except for two small liver cysts which Dr. said was not liver disease/ cirrhosis. Dermatologist said it was just aging. Two weeks again my palms turned bright pink with red dots like they were when I was pregnant seven years ago. Again bloodwork was normal and I am scheduled for yet another ultrasound. Dr. will not do liver biopsy and probably thinks I'm nuts. I have a past history with alcohol in my twenties but since kids were born its been limited to weekends only and after palms turned pink I quit to see if symptoms dissappear. I am 36. Does anyone have a similiar experience as mine? Could symptoms just be caused by alcohol? Any input would be appreciated.
