Just had my ALJ hearing and judge said that I should receive a letter in the mail within 30 days of his decision, then he told my lawyer and myself that he was approving my claim and backpay will start as of 10/05. I was told that with the pain, medsand side effects there is no work I can preform, due to failed back surgery at L5-S1 and now L3&L2 are herniated and sciatic nerve damage. Now just need to wait for the approval letter and make it official, my lawyer said that we had a good judge and that he tells people of his decision so they don't have to wait and worry, I wonder if your not approve if he would still tell you , well just wanted to vent 3 years of no income and almost losing my house this is one happy day

Thats great news. We too got a Fully Favorable decision recently.
Got the letter 1 week ago, dated the 27th of July.
Still very early but at least you got the light at the end of the tunnel a bit brightened up.:)

Wow thats awesome. I have another hearing September 27th after fighting for 5 years so I am hoping everything will turn out a good for me also. My lawyer said that this judge thats doing my hearing this time is a good judge and I have also submitted new evidence so it seems everything is in my favor but then again you never know but I am expecting good results. I am really happy for you and sure happy to hear that you are not going to lose your house. I know what you mean tho I too haven't been able to work in 5 years so my back pay will come in very handy. Thanks for sharing the good news its always good to hear good news. Have a blessed and pain free day.

I am very happy for all that have been awarded what you so rightly deserve. I had talked to the SSD adjuster about 2 weeks ago for almost an hour and she said from just talking to me that she felt that she would have the reconsideration from the appeal pulled to my side. Needless to say, I received the dreadful letter last week saying that there is some type of work I should still be able to do. I suffer from fibromyalgia, hypermobility and BiPolar. With all the meds I take, it would knock an elehphant out and the adjuster even made a comment to that effect. I don't know how I would even be able to pass a drug test to even work at a McDonald's. I can't even get dressed most days by myself, I can't do the dishes as I break to many, I don't fix dinner because I am afraid of burning the house down. None of the docs, shrink, therapist, GP nor my pain doc believe I would be able to work so why is SSD making it so hard. All it does is make it that much more stressful for me and make me feel that more worthless than I already do. Even babbling, now I will ask the question I really needed the answer too.
Does anyone know how long it normally takes to get an appointment with the ALJ and if there is anything I can do to speed it up. The financial strain that I am putting on my family is really stressing me out even though I have insurance. The diseases/disorders cost a fortune. Any suggestions or help you can give would be greatly apprecated.
Hugs to you all
