:confused: ok so I am totally confused and this situation is starting to cause friction between my partner and I:
We both have HSV-2 and it seems like everytime we have sex about a day after he gets an outbreak...he complains of tingling feeling, soreness, pain in the genital area (all the typical symptoms of a herpes outbreak) I get milder symptoms, might be a little itchy but it goes away. His belief is that we may just not be sexually compatible or that we're having some type of "allergic reaction" to each other. Is this even possible? to be constantly triggering ob with each other or to be having some other kind of allergic reaction?
I found out I had HSV first and then he tested positive for it and was not judgmental b/c we quickly came to terms that either of us could have passed it to the other since we don't know who had it first but now b/c of his constant ob's he's acting like its all me and that hurts.
We even started using condoms again to see if that would stop an ob and the first time we used one after not having sex for about 3 weeks, he still had an ob but when I think about that incident there was no lubrication at all...so that could be friction which led to an ob.
