Does anyone know anything about it? korken 12-13-2000, 03:44 PM Hi Val, I take it along w/other things, but w/really bad days it does nothing for me. I take two 50 mg. at a time. It works for some and not others. It can be addictive even though it's not a narcotic. Hope that helps. Take care and good luck, Kim Linda D 12-13-2000, 04:20 PM I take Ultram. Have been on and off it for a few years now. It helps some, I guess. I have no problem with it being addictive. I know some others have had bad experiences with it. I take up to 4 a day. Linda D Charlie Weaver 12-13-2000, 08:19 PM I took Ultram in 1998 when I had one of my really bad flare ups. It helped for a while and then stopped. In 1999 we decided to try it again to see if it would help since I had been off it. The only thing it did for me was to cause me to have really had dreams or hallucinations at night. My bedroom was full of these huge spiders. I stopped taking it when they got as big as my 19-inch TV screen. Have not taken it since. I would literally wake up during the night and a couple of times I even woke my husband up and told him to get them off my pillow. It's a good thing we've been married as long as we have because with some of my problems with all the different medications I think he might have walked out http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif ValB626 12-13-2000, 08:29 PM Holy tuna, Charlie! The spiders sound scary!! She's been having enough problems with bad dreams without spiders. After her dr. visit this morning and the long nap she had from her shot, she woke up and was feeling some better. Then she was going downstairs from my bedroom and slipped and fell on the stairs, and really bumped her tailbone pretty hard, so she is a wreck again. NOTHING is touching it tonight. Are we going to get used to this ever??? I really can't stand it. Charlie Weaver 12-13-2000, 09:22 PM I'm not sure if we ever will get used to it, or do we just learn to tolerate it more. I know that when my worst bout started again in 1994 I cried because the pain was so bad. Then it settles down, and at times I even thought that it had gone away. But the pain would come back and it seems like it is always worse than the time before. Does that make sense? So I am not sure that it is really worth it to have a remission or not. But then after getting a shot in my foot yesterday, I would welcome a remission for even one month. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Scooby 12-13-2000, 09:40 PM Hi everyone yes it is Scooby Doo here and Yes I DO take Ultram and feel that is much more effective than Darvocet. As for hallucinations..... of headless rats that would be from EFFEXOR XR. ------------------ ~Luv, Scoobs~ korken 12-13-2000, 09:55 PM HEADLESS RATS, NO WAY. SPIDERS, FREEK ME OUT!! I couldn't handle that. But, I have had a few really scarry nightmares, but not from ultram. Wow, it's amasing how drugs do that. Well, pleasant dreams to all, Kim Scooby 12-13-2000, 10:00 PM Hi Kim That is correct I can take all the pain med in the world. But if I take anti depressants .....look out ! The headless rats attack. ------------------ ~Luv, Scoobs~ |
