New to the board. My dad was diagnosed with IBM or polymyositis (the doctors continue to debate which one). Thankfully it is slow digression, but it is still difficult to watch him slowly get worse.

My question: is there any products that help provide support standing up? Or gripping things? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

He has difficulty getting out of chairs, but is not quite ready for a wheelchair.
