i delt with acne when i was younger and have dealt with the fact that i will always have blackheads. that's all i suffer from now, they NEVER seem to go away.....i have a few blackheads on the side of my nose and when i squeeze them they leave huge holes that you can see from miles away, i have had them for a few years. usually i don't squeeze them, because with coverup you cant tell, but the pores are huge!!!! is there any kind of surgery out there that will zap the few huge pores i have off?? i hate them, i have big pores all over my face, but the ones on my nose want to make me crawl in a hole. can someone please help!!!!:mad: :confused:

First of all, don't squeeze your pimples! I know it is tempting when you look in the mirror and just want them gone but popping them will leave bigger scars. My 16 year old son has acne problems and his dr. prescribed an antibiotic cream. I don't know why your pores are so big. Can you see a dermatologist about this?

I also have huge pores. I have never in my life seen anybody (not even a guy) with large pores like myself. I always want to hide. At work (where it is extremely lit) and outside is where they are the most noticeable. I wear bare minerals powder for my make up but when I put it on my nose, it makes it much worse and much more noticeable. I love the makeup for the rest of my face though - so light feeling and great coverage.

I've resorted to using creme makeup on my nose but that still doesn't work. I also use smashbox primer to "fill in the pores" before I put the make up on but still, it'll only last for like 30 mins. After that, the makeup sinks into my pores and it just looks like I have 50 huge craters on my nose all day long (even if I use oil-blotting sheets or powder touch ups every hour!).

Whenever anyone talks to me, I always see them looking at my nose. It's pretty rude but I can't blame them. I mean, it's like I'm a circus act - you can't see anyone else like me. :(

I don't know what to do. If they get clogged, I can more easily cover them up but I just feel so dirty so I have to use a pore strip. That's when my nose is covered with holes. I even go back and get out whatever the pore strip misses so I can feel "clean".

Anyway, if anyone knows anything I can try, please let me know. I have already tried the ice trick, the pore minimizing toners, the queen helene mint julep mask, neosporin (to try to heal the pore to the normal size) and nothing has worked. Are all pores supposed to be the same size? I have some smaller pores but many of them are much bigger than the others.
