A newbie that's on the West Coast. 20 minutes north of Seattle. There is a non-drug clinical trial underway for FMS at the Univ of WA. I'm supposed to be participating in it, I just need to get medical clearance from my PCP and a cardiologist. Becky Blackburn 12-13-2000, 09:37 AM Hi everyone, I'm from Durham, North Carolina but now live in Hillsborough - about 15 miles west of Durham (a small historic town). I work in Research Triangle Park. I too want to retire to the coast of North Carolina!! My symptoms began in 1981 but were not recognized by a doctor until 1989 - this was extremely painful and frustrating time. I was 32 - I am now 51 and have definitely seen progression. I do not let fribro get me down though - I keep truckin along fighting this dreadful disease!! It beats me in the ground some days - but I kick back and keep fighting!! My husband and I went through when we went to Raleigh and then to coast. We visited friends in Fuquay-Varina (where?!?).
