At the end of June I had part of my big toe nail removed to help with clearing up a case of fungus.
In the last couple of weeks I noticed that the nail seemed very white near the cuticle, and I think it has spread in a "downward" direction.
Where the nail was cut it is quite dark... I think it is perhaps a bruise.
Just last night i noticed that now, in the middle of what is left of the nail there seems to be a new white spot.
I am using the medication the dr gave me, but seriously doubt it is working.
I have an appt. Sept 21, and I know for sure that the dr is not available right now anyway.

Is there something I can do to improve the situation?
I know that this problem may never go away.... but the fact that it loosk like it has spread down to the cuticle really makes me feel tht it is out of control.

i think it could be an infection, i would go to a doctor regardless of costs.

I agree - I would see your physician again. Fungus is VERY hard to kill and takes determination and lots of time. If he has given you medication, continue to apply it until it is all gone and then you may even need some more.
