I recently found a lump in my breast. I was lying in bed and my hand brushed across my chest and I was shocked that I felt a lump around the 12:00 position. It is firm, about the size of a marble but does not feel perfectly round. It is not painful (unless I feel it too much) and it moves pretty freely. I have made an appt. with my gyn and feel pretty confident that it's nothing, but I can't help but worry a little and I can't get in to see him for two weeks. For those of you who have been through this, I would appreciate your opinoins and your descriptions of your cancerous lumps. Thank you in advance for sharing such a personal thing.

Hi...I've had similar experiences in both breasts, and I was scared and worried as well....I had mammograms done, they were just fibrous lumps, I had them removed and the biopsy results were benign. It's a scary thing to go through, and I would call my Dr. and ask that they get you in sooner if for nothing else than peace of mind. Good luck and God Bless! Linda

I agree, call your doctors office back and ask for a quicker appointment. Please explain your fear. Waiting with no answers is the worst. Ask to see the nurse practitioner, they can at least get the process started. Plus if she has a real concern she will can the doctor in immediately.
