View Full Version : SSRI's have destroyed my life for 6 years and counting.

Before 2001, I had friends, social life, and was somewhat happy. After I quit the medications my life went to HELL. I have no feelings, no emotions. I lost all my "friends" and I became completely alone. I am emotionally blunt, as in, no feelings. I am completely stoic, something I never thought I would be. I have tried most everything to get back to the way I was, even trying SSRI's again.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can take or what I can do, cause I am beyond desperate at this point.

Are you on the same meds as before?
Why did you quit the first time?
How long have you been on your new meds?
Same dosage?

Aderral will give you focus and energy and a clear out of "the fog". But it could cause some anxiety. Be sure to discuss this with your doctor.

Can I ask what you were on medications for?

GAD? or something else?

If anything, I'd try Paxil. It's great for anti-anxiety. I've been on Effexor and Wellbutrin, too... Effexor made me MORE depressed, Wellbutrin, did nothing, AND, I had to be taken off of it, due to my history of eating disorders (since it can decrease your appetite)
