I have a bunion on one foot and the beginning of one on the other. I do a lot of walking. Other than getting wider shoes, is there something I can do that will prevent them from getting worse? Right now, one has a slight sensation occasionally but not actual pain yet. Do you have any advise for me? Thanks! :)

Not that I know of, but the right orthodics might help any discomfort or pain that you feel. My doctor says the tendancy toward bunions is hereditary. Wide shoes probably won't stop bunions from developing, but they will at least not aggravate them and you will be more comfortable.

i think orthodics would be great, also. try to stay away from narrow toe shoes and maybe these things will help.

Also, try to wear flat shoes, not heels, whenever possible. Heels also aggravate the bunions.
