Hi All. Havent posted in a minute! I suffer from some pretty bad anxiety problems, not nearly as bad as some of you, but mine is mostly EXCESSIVE worry about everything on a daily basis. However in the past few years my brain have developed this tendancy to think up some of the most horrible things imaginable that could happen to someone I care about. I worry about stupid scenarios all the time, and often play them through my head on what could happen to someone I care about.

Example: (and this might be graphic for some of you, but i'm just trying to get the idea across) I see someone throw something out the window going down the road....Almost instantly, I have this horrible flash imagine go through my brain of somebody just throwing my 3 yr old son out a window and he go crashing to the pavement. Example 2: I see a car drive by my house...Again immediately I see this image of some car running over my two dogs.

Some of these thoughts are so horrible for me to see it brings me to tears sometimes. The things my brain makes me see is terrible. Does anyone else have this due to anxiety problems? This is god awful, and I pray everyday I don't have to see these imagines and "stories" go through my head for the rest of my life :( (I am only 25 yrs old).

Thanks for your input..

Also, as of now I do not take anything for Anxiety. Every med i've tried makes me a nervous wreck and even worse than I am without them. FYI

Well, I don't know how to "cure" this but I have similar thoughts. I never had these until I started having anxiety and panic attacks. For example, I'll be driving and all I can think about is crashing. When my anxiety was worse a couple months ago, it was a real struggle at times to not think of things like that. I don't know if it's related but I (and many other apparently) have all kinds of fears because of anxiety. For example I have irregular heartbeats and have gotten tons of tests (every doctor said it was anxiety) yet I'm terrified to workout or push my heart.

One thing I noticed is that these thoughts get weaker as my anxiety improves. I recommend working towards improving your anxiety and the thoughts might go away with it.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I get the same kind of thoughts. I get random thoughts of that I accidently kill my cats, also that something terrible is going to happen to my family.
