I posted a few months ago about post tib tendonitis. Since then, I went to my foot/ankle ortho and was told this was a problem i would always have to deal with. She said the only thing that could be done was to treat the symptoms. I left the office with orders for pt and told to make a follow up visit in 6-8 wks. I completed the pt with minimal change in my symptoms (my 3rd round of pt in 1 yr.) Just prior to my dr. visit, I noticed a small lump behind my inner ankle. I don't believe it's on my achilles, possibly on my ptt (looking at a diagram of where the tendon runs behind ankle). I showed it to the dr. and no comment was really made. She actually acted as if she couldn't feel it. Now 2 months later the lump is getting larger and my foot and ankle feel very weak and tired, as if there is no strength in them. Anyone ever had anything like this? I kinda feel like my dr. is blowing me off. I'm only 29 yrs old and very active (sports, job, kids). This problem has been interfering with a big portion of my life for a long time and seems to be getting worse. I plan on getting a 2nd opinion, but that could take a while. My main concern is the lump and lack of strength. My pain level hasn't changed much. Thanks in advance for any comments.
