Hi, i have posted in here several times and i have another question.

I filed for ssdi in july, i havent even rec. any thing from ss yet they said i should this week, like what they need from me birth cert..etc...

anyways i am broke now, i am thinking of trying to work even if its 10 hours a week, i know its still gonna be hard and i prolly wont make it but i have no income and cant even pay co payments for docs, not to mention no meds.
and if i couldnt do it at work with meds i wont last long without them

anyways are they totally gonna dismiss my case when and if i do this?

i know its gonna make things harder to prove, but i just dont know what else to do and im trying to prevent myself from doing something drastic.

HOWEVER, especially depending on the condition(s) you're applying for, even part time work can be used against you in the medical determination. For example, if a construction worker applies due to a back problem but is still performing his past work 10 hrs/wk, the question becomes if he can do backbreaking work 10 hrs/wk, why can't he do it full time? I'm sure your situation isn't this extreme, but you get my point.

I'd call or stop into your local SS office for status. Most backlogs at your stage of the application process are caused by the DO needing something from you (information, release forms, etc.) or a DDS "shelf". The latter are cases that are waiting to be assigned to a DDS claims examiner. The examiners have a set number of cases they can receive per day (usually 2 to 3). If the amount the local SS offices forward to them exceeds what can be assigned, they get a lot of shelved cases.

Well I just thought about work and my stomach problems came back,(not the reason for ss, but just the stress of work gives me health probs.)
so as of today I told them im not coming back. I dont know why i was trying to hold onto it, but i know i can never work there again.
SS was suppose to be sending me something i should get it this week, but maybe ill call them just to make sure...
