I've tried cold turkey... I quit for four months that way, but I couldn't seem to do it cold turkey when I tried to quit again, after I re-started smoking.

I've tried nicorette, and all that...but the worst addiction I have, is the psychological ---hand to mouth, breathing in the smoke addiction.

So, I'm trying to cut down, to eventually quit, to break the psychological addiction...

Anyone have success quitting this way?

I used to smoke over a pack a day, nearly 2.... Yesterday I did very well, smoked only 5 cigarettes. Today, so far I've had about one and a half cigarettes.

The plan is, to do everything I can to NOT smoke, but to not become a basket case in doing so...

Wish me luck... I'm nervous!!!

Your doing very well ,your system seems to be working .Keep up the fantastic job.

I'm using chantix as I don't have the will power to cut back like you have.

Take one day at a time.
