Hi there,
I've been going through tests to find out the cause of bloating, GI problems, weight loss, feeling full quickly, nausea, and lower right quadrant dull ache.

I had a barium enema last Weds followed by a vaginal and abdominal ultrasound on Thursday. I also had a ct scan about 3 weeks ago which showed fullness along the vaginal cuff (I had a hysterectomy in 2001).

I can't seem to get a doctor to tell me what the results mean. My primary care doctor sent the ultrasound results. Here's a little bit of what the ultrasound says:

The uterus is surgically absent. There is an exophytic,
hemorrhagic cyst arising from the lower right ovary measuring 2.8
x 2.4 cm in size. The left ovary is unremarkable in appearance.
No free fluid is hydronephrosis is seen.

I wish everyone peace and healing-

Hi,

Basically what your report is saying is that you have a one-inch cyst on your ovary which is bleeding because a small blood vessel in the wall of the cyst has broken. These are pretty common and usually do not require surgery as they often will resolve by themselves. They are almost never cancerous.

Also, there is no fluid in your abdominal cavity and no backup of urine in your kidney. When there is fluid, it can sometimes indicate cancer.

Best wishes and hugs,

Lisa
