Hi all!!!Ive been on ultram 50 mg. max 8 a day and I take all 8 for a year and a half.Im going in for surg. a double fusion in a month or two havent booked the date yet.Any way I want to stop taking the medication befor surg.that way I can go back on it after the surg. rather then taking anything stronger.I also have mild depression and was put on Seroquel while ive been on the Seroquel im not feeling the need to take the Ultram even though im still in pain.My question is does anyone know if there is a link between Seriquel and detoxing from ultram???????Thanks for your help,Debi12

Hi,
I dont know about the seraquil, sorry. But I do know that getting off tramadol can be tricky, you are at risk of seizures. make sure your doctor helps you design a tapering process, and dont stop it all at once.
Kudos for wanting to stay on something for post surgery, rather than just moving on to 'bigger and better' meds. I wish you every success.
