Hello everyone its been awhile since my last post. I am currently trying Lyrica for severe PN in both feet and it doesnt seem to help at all, my pain doctor wants to try me on Topamax if the Lyrica doesnt help. Can anyone tell me what might be considered a normal daily dosage and strength for Topamax. I just want a idea if what he trys me on is a low medium or high dosage. Seems like I read quite a few messages in the past where people were having some sucess with topamax for thier PN. Hoping it works for me, Im getting frustrated all these meds and no luck. Would appreciate any info on Topamax, good or bad.

I took Topamax for my Neuralgia, But I feel I didn't get much relief on it. It had too many side-effects that I just couldn't handle in the end. It made me so dizzy and nauseous, and I couldn't keep food down. I was prescribed 75mg per day, but could only handle 50mg per day. I took it for 2 months, but it gave me stomach pains and constant eye pain, so my Neurologist decided I should try something else.
It probably works well for some people, but it has strong side-effects. It might work for someone who doesn't have stomach problems. I do have other stomach problems, so it didn't help me at all.
