Well caved last night found the smokes and had to have one. Only had one though. Woke this mornin and needed one bad was nearly in tears. The kids were drivin me nuts felt like pullin all my hair out so caved again had another smoke. Found out why i needed one so bad my patch fell off. Had a shower put a new patch on and wanted another smoke got so mad at myself that i tore the rest up and threw the pack in the bin :) now i've been smoke free for over 7 hours and am doin ok. My throat hurts though i have a real nasty cough and it's hard to swallow dunno if that's cause of the not smokin or cause i've got the flu it is goin around here.......

suz I am still pretty new at this myself but if you can make it through 3 days you can quit...I still get cravings, some days worse then others. I get about one an hour but it only last about 15 seconds then I forget about it until the next one. I am on chantix . I can't wait until they r down to one craving a day then once a month then couple times a year...this daily stuff is bearable but not too fun..good luck to you..believe me I know how hard it is but YOU CAN do it!! just when you want one really bad get on here and type then by the time your done you should feel better..

i did alot of coughing and wheezing when i quit, even waking up thru nite with it. it lasted about 1 wk. i think it was just a clearing of the lungs helping to get all that smoke out!
if you want to read my posts on here, i have had a bad time of it also.i know we can do this, we just need to have negative thoughts about cigs when we get a craving and move on to another subject!
