Hi to all! I am a newby to this forum, but have had fibro for 3 yrs. I do a lot of research, which brought me to this website. There are some interesting posts here, and like you, I'm praying for a cure soon!

I have had fms/cfs for 3 years too and like you spend a lot of time researching and reading. Maybe we can compare notes sometime?

Welcome to a great site: the folks here are very understanding and encouraging. I have had Fibro about 3 and a half yrs, tho I can see early beginning even before that(fatigue and incredible tiredness each afternoon, etc.). Sounds like you're willing to do your homework: drs communicate better with us when they know we know what they are talking about. Throw in a technical phrase once in a while, and you really get their attention. Get well! Al

Thanks to Scoobs and Allen for the welcome. It doesn't take too much reading until fibro sufferers know more about the condition than most of the doctors! If we're going to have an ailment like this, we might as well know what we're up against, right?

Fibrogal that's a big 10 4. These doctors for years are usless. I found a doctor on that site Kim posted. I called up this afternoon and made it. They say he is Board Cerified in three areas. I have CFS and FMS. I see him soon. Hope he knows something I have been researching all day and everyday for 6 mos. I'll post a couple later. If you'd like.
