I have seen a few people use this and was wondering was it actually is. I get alot of pain in my face because of my glands being up all the time, which is really painfull, don't know if this is part of it. Could someone explain this to me.

Thanks

The myofascia is the thin, almost translucent film that wraps around muscle tissue. You can see it when you cut up chicken. It's that white stuff.

In the myofascia there is a material called ground substance. (go figure)
This material can exist in a solid, semisolid, or fluid state. When the ground substance changes from a liquid to a gel, the
myofascia tightens, and it is difficult to get it to reverse to a liquid state again without intervention. (Myofascia release massage works really well)
When it is in a liquid state the muscles move over each other easily. Muscles are always "sliding" on each other. When it changes to a gel, the muscles don't slide anymore they just stick and you get pain. New information is that this is what causes carpal tunnel. (reference Dr. Leahy, carpal tunnel) Active Release Therapy works also.
Why does it do this you ask? My belief is it is a hormone thing. The hormones go wonky and whamo everything goes wonky. The hormone I pin it on is thyroid. Got my thyroid fixed and the myofascial pain is gone also.

JB, did all your symptoms improve when you adjusted for the thyroid problems? Did you have FM and Myofacial symptoms to start with? If they didn't all improve or go away, what symptoms were NOT helped with thyroid treatment?

Hi Cioc:
All my symptoms have cleared up or are clearing up.
Fatique, aches and pains, sinus(actually I had sores in my nose, and one other person on this board said they had them too. Just awful), IBS, myofascia syndrom, carpal tunnel, fibro feet which I figure is plantar fasciitis(which I think is myofascia syndrom of the feet), stiff ankles in the morning, stiffness when getting up after sitting for a while, fuzzy eyesight, restless sleep (altho I am still dealing with menopause so do wake up once or twice with hot flashes, but the general unrestful sleep isn't there anymore, depression , anxiety, brain fog, cold, dry skin, lethargic, sluggish. Pretty much all gone but still get nose stuffiness sometimes. I have only got my TSH down to 2 tho and I would like to get it down to 1. That's where it was when I was in peak health. Tree Frog on the thyroid board has to keep her TSH between .3 - .35 or her symptoms return. Pretty amazing.

I forgot- cholesterol levels down, eyebrows grew back(missing outer third of eyebrows) some interest in sex. (if there was anyone worth being interested about I'm sure that would improve.)
