Hi Everyone! I've had fibro symptoms for years, but have developed a new one, and don't know if it's from fibro or something else. My hands and feet tingle nearly all the time since last fall, and they have begun to wake me up during the night. I have to roll over on my back for them to come back to life or prop myself up. It usually happens if I'm on my side (I always am), but I've woken up before with both of them asleep, and I couldn't have been lying on both sides at the same time. Doctor gave me a wrist brace to wear to bed, and it did no good. Tingles with it on.

Hi cm,
Don't know if this is the answer for you, but has helped, for me, what appeared to be the same thing.
Check the position your arms and legs are in when you awaken. I, too, am a side sleeper. The arm that I'm actually lying on is the 1st to tingle, then that hip, and so on down the leg. With this, rolling to a new position does it until next time.
Often, though, the 'up' side limbs fall asleep, too. I usually discover that my arm is bent, stretched out in front of me, or above my head. Aligning to my side helps. with the leg, again it is usually bent too tightly at the knee (love that fetal position - but it is killer!), or foot pushing the footboard, or otherwise creating muscle pressure or tension. a pillow between the knees often helps.
good luck

I've had that tingling too. I've noticed it if I sit at the computer too long, or sleep on my side. Sometimes it's almost a "funny bone" type of feeling. It's weird, but from what I've heard, it's pretty common for us fibro people!

Used to have that problem, but finally got a new mattress, that makes all the difference. Many companies now give a 90 day trial. Why not have one delivered and try some new ones out? An adjustable is really great since no two days seem to be alike with my body, and it allows me to change to meet my condition. Sometimes firmer, sometimes softer.
