i have to give a presentation next week and need something to take as a one off
my fear is of passing out - the physical anxiety that overtakes me...i am not afraid of making an idiot of myself etc, its the headrush and dizziness fear of collapsing that gets me
would i be better looking for a beta blocker or benzo in this situation - cognitive therapy helps me in buildup but at the time the physcial anxiety just knocks me for six

I don't know much about beta blockers. As for benzos, Ativan seems to help. A small dose should calm you without putting you to sleep. Good luck.

I agree. But make sure you do a trial run before you give your presentation

I'd suggest a beta blocker, doctor might give you a prescription for a beta blocker before he would for a benzo like Ativan.

he wouldnt give beta - my resting pulse is low 50s and bp is 99/65 so said beta would drop me to floor probably!
