Hi all, I have had FM for so long I can't remember when I was first diagnosed, I guess in the late 80's or very early 90's. I am like everyone else in pain always. I get so flustrated with my doctors, it seems I go for my appointments but all they do is send me home with the same meds I've been on and say lets see how it goes awhile longer. I have also recently be diagnosed with diabetes, although mild its still there and I've had pancreatis 4 times, and they can't figure out why. So as you can guess my list of meds are very long and I have added more recently 1. doxepin - 2.darvacet - 3.mirapex (for restless leg syndrom) 4. synthroid (hypothyroidism) 5. nexium 6. iron tables and vitamin c (iron defiencey anemia) 7. metformin 8. lyrica
9. lexapro 10. guifenasin 11. daily women's vitamin 12. calcium. So my weird symptom is, lately I have been feeling these weird, I don't know, they feel like "vibrations" in my body. Not my arms or legs mostly but on my torso, like under my breasts, in my armpit or on my stomach. Not a large area, but it seems like once it starts in that area it comes and goes all day. Anyone else felt anything similar, or maybe it's medicine related? I work at a doctors office and asked one of my friends that is a nurse if it is possible to feel something like this, and she said just in the last few months she has felt the same thing. Weird huh? She is just getting over shingles. So any ideas or help out there I would appreciate. Thanks

Hi there and welcome.
I get those sensations often in my stomach, feels like my heart is skipping beats at times or a vibrator is running in there. never had them in my under arm but have had them in my arms and legs also, especally near but not under the arm. I also have had them right in under the center of my chin.
You are not alone. We
get so many weird things. get

I have had it in the past. Reminded me of the vibrations from loud bass music.

I have one tiny spot on my right leg, just above my foot, that vibrates sometimes. It's not painful, but it's annoying!

Does sound odd, but I thought it out the last few times I experienced it myself... and I think it's those muscle twitches that so many of us get. The only thing is is that it's deep inside our abdominal cavities that it happens, and our bodies don't sense our involuntary muscular contractions the same way it senses our outer musculature. Most of us can't feel our intestines working away quietly all day and night, unless we get a bug, or excess gas or the like. I can feel them ( as do all IBS sufferers) more easily than most because so much of my time is spent focussing on what they are up to. Therefore when I get that vibrating feeling, I generally just assume that it's an internal muscle twitching it's little heart out... just like the one behind my knee, or my three favorite toes, or along the back of my shoulder, or where-ever the little &$*%&@#* is twitching that moment.
I don't know if this helps you any, but you gave me an opportunity to voice a thought about it because it happens to me a lot. ( Boy I am really rambly tonight.. LOL sorry).. anyway, keep reading , and check your post often. Someone might have the answer for you... Good luck.

I get the vibrating sensation in my lower abdomen just above my pubic bone. Glad to hear others get them also as my pcp had no idea.

I get them all the time too. They don't really bother me, they're just kind of annoying...I had no idea it could be related to FM. I'm finding that everything i go through is ending up being due to FM...even little things like this... little things I never would have though of.. I'm just in awe...I finally got this diagnosis..and the more I learn, the more I am 100% sure the diagnosis is right..it fits me 100+%.

Thanks all, it's just nice to know that someone else out there knows what I'm feeling and I'm not a total nut. Having a bad flare right now, stress and all due to the death of our pastor and my mom being sick....so right now I'm not feeling any of that.....I think the pain is toooooo bad to notice anything else. So anyhow thanks, if anyone hears what causes it please let us know.

I too get vibrating sensations, a bit more than a tingle in many parts of my body. The strange thing I have in VERY BAD muscle spasms under my breasts. Anyone else have this one?
