My husband picked me up at work today which was strange because He never did unless I asked. We were passing a busy intersection he said' right there' I asked him what happened, he said there has been a trrible accident and our little puppy is gone. I started crying so hard, for a moment I did not know what to think except that I miss my pup so much that I used to play with every morning and evenning. When I got home I saw my puppy was lying peacefully in the backyard just like when he was asleep. No external injury at all. I miss him and I can imagine the pain he was going thru before he passed away. Now I'm so mad at my husband who let the puppy ran around alone and also at the driver who couldn't control his driving also left the dog there instead of rushing him to the ER. I am just mad and I can't stop crying so I'll stop here for now.

I feel u. my dog passed away about a month ago. I'm sure she's in a better place resting and waiting for me now. I'm sure your dog is up there as well. so don't be too sad. let him go for now. you will meet him again one day.
I think I would be angry too if puppy was allowed to be out by itself without being on a leash! The driver didn't have anything to do with the accident and I can only imagine that that person feels extremely bad about hitting the puppy...something that could be avoided had the puppy been on a leash. Be angry with your husband because anything that happens to a pet is the result of the owner not attending to business. But what is done is done and I suppose your husband did the best he knew how at the time. Most Men don't really handle stuff like this so well. I imagine he has never done this before but generally you know when something/someone has died. Because it was a puppy I don't think it suffered as a blow to the little head would be all that it would take. Time will heal your wounds and if you ever get another puppy be sure your husband understands that any animal must at all times be on a leash when away from home/apt ...this is all a horrible accident that could of been avoided....in some states he could be arrested for animal cruelty.
