So my gyn just called me and said that the biopsies taken during my colposcopy have all came back negative. huh!?! I am afraid to allow myself to even feel relieved yet because I think its so strange that I went from a reading of "moderate to severe" dysplasia from my pap to totally negative on the biopsy? How can that happen. Is something growing undetected? She said I have to come back in 3 months for another colposcopy. What do you all think??

That's great news!
Remember, the biopsy is the gold standard as far as results. The pap is only a screening tool. If the biopsy is negative, it is HIGHLY unlikely you have dysplasia--regardless of what the pap says. If you are still bothered, however, ask your doc if you can get a pap in 3-6 months to ease your fears.
I have great faith you are just fine, though!

PEANUT,
The same thing has happened to me!
Please read my post and you may learn something from those who responded.
I had several biopsies taken, and all were negative.
I understand how you feel because I have been there and done that, and still waiting for the last test to come back.
Hopefully you are in the clear, and all is well. Let's keep that positive thought! :)

I dont mean to alarm anyone but just keep a close eye on this I had the exact same thing happen - a pap indicating some form of dysplasia but the biopsies and ecc came back normal. I had a repeat pap 3 months later HGSIL, just had a CKC biopsy because my dr felt that the cells would be found up higher in my cervix. And they were except they were low/moderate range rather than high grade. It had me sick and scared for months but I am now so relieved with the cone results.

CKC is a Cold Knife Cone biopsy. It is a cone biopsy of the cervical oz that is performed with a surgical tool by hand instead of a LEEP tool. It is generally more successful but a CKC biopsy has risks and should only be performed when all other options fail and/or for persistent recurrent dysplasia extending well into the endocervical canal. CKCs can cause problems in subsequent pregnancies since the chance of incompetent cervix are greater than other methods. But, they are also very successful so you'd have to weigh the risks vs. negatives.
