I have pushed myself so hard..and now I just can't do it anymore... anyone else going through the same thing?
I use all my energy to work..an worn out and run down within an hour...and just somehow manage to slide through the rest of the day..come home and have absolutely no life outside of work... My job is wearing me down and just like people have to say no to plans with friends and family.. I'm at that point with work.
But, I need money to live... what do ya do when it takes so long to apply and get approved for disability?

I think I'm going to try for disability benefits from the company I work for... at least I'll get some income that way...

I don't really know what to do. I am married but my hubby doesn't make enough to support us... I do. I can't be without income. We would never survive.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Stac8454

Hi Stac8454,

I too was working so hard as an administration manager when it lead to a massive flare up of FM and I was off work for over 6-months. When I returned to work I was allowed to reduce my working day to part-time, this seemed great at the beginning, but over time although my employers reduced my hours I had the same amount of work todo and the same number of staff under me. I carried on like this for over a year, some days not knowing how I managed to get into work at all. Hence back in May I was so ill again I simply had to give up and have been on sick leave ever since. I am meeting with my employers again on Sept 6th to discuss redeployment as they have received a letter from my consultant and the companies Occupational Health department as supported my request. I suppose I'm lucky as I work for the NHS and they are supportive to staff who have a recognised conditions.

I do hope you manage to get your situation sorted, as they stress of losing a wage does not help your condition and sorry for not being able to offer any solutions to you.

Wishing you well and so much good luck.

Take care, Lyn;)
