I have had plantar faciitis for about 6 months and recently started having pain shoot up the back of my foot. Podiatrist says achillies tendonitis. Anyone have experience with the tendinitis? I will be going to therapy . I feel the tendonitis is from the way I am walking because of the pain from the faciitis.

I had chronic Achilles tendonitis last year. It began in July. I started traditional PT for about two months with no response. Basically PT will involve strengthening and stretching the tendon. What eventually cured my tendonitis was ASTYM. It did a great job. I would suggest you do a search on the internet for ASTYM and learn a little about it and discuss with your PT.
