Hi all I am hoping someone can answer this question for me. I have not worked in 5 years due to having my son. I was actually taken out of work in my 4th month of pregnancy and put on disability but not due to fibro. Anyway that ended of course 6 weeks postpartum. Now I have severe fibro, arthritis of the spine and possibly lupus. Do you know if I can get disability now or do you have to be working? I was lucky in the past 5 years that my husband was able to cover us ok however things have changed and I am looking for work but can't find anything so far that will accomodate my needs. Any info would be great. Thanks.

request a copy of your benefit statement from the social security website. It will tell you if you have enough credits for disability
