Back in March, I had 2 bladder infections back to back, and urinary frequency symptom persisted till April even after the infection was gone. From May to July, the symptom disappeared. Now it's back! I can't sleep well at all because of having to go to bathroom at night 3 - 4 times. During the day I urinated every hour or 2 hours. This has been happening for almost 2 weeks. My urine culture came back negative, so no infection. She did a swap for STDs, and I'm still waiting on the results. I have also asked for ultrasound in case there is cyst or tumor.

Do you think this ovarian cancer symptom? I'm wondering whether it can be OC; even if there is only this symptom, or does it have to have other symptoms to go along with urinary frequency?

It's unlikely that the only symptom of OC would just be urinary frequency. There are a host of other things that could cause such a symptom, such as diabetes, fibroid tumors, pregnancy, too many fluids, caffeine, some medications, etc.

As a lady on another board always says, "Don't waste a good panic." :)

I am in a similar situation! I have bloating, urinary fequency and pelvic aching. I just received negative biopsy results after a colposcopy which was done based on a bad pap. I am scared I may have cancer somewhere higher than my cervix now too. The urinary frequency is beyond annoying. I am going in for a sterile urine culture tomorrow, but i know it will come back negative again...

I just got my results for STDs, and they all came back negative. Ultrasound is another month away. Hopefully I'll get better by then. I'm just perplexed that why I'm having urinary frequency when there is no infection and no diabetes. Ovarian cyst/tumor or Interstitial Cystitis are two things that Dr. mentioned. For now, I'm going to try to stay away from any caffeine/sugar/acidic food to see if that makes it better.

Last time I got acupuncture, and I got better. I cannot afford this right now as it's quite pricey.

If anyone out here can give me advice, I'll all ears.

To find out for sure what is happening inside you, have your doc arrange a pelvic scan for you. This way you will find out for sure if there is a problem or not. There is no discomfort involved. If you don't have medical insurance pay for it yourself, just have it done asap.

Not to add to your worry, but frequent urinary infections was the one
symptom that lead the doctors to do a CT scan looking for a possible
kidney stone. What they found was a pelvic mass which was diagnosed
as ovarian cancer. Having a CT scan should find out or rule out what your
problem is. Even if it's scary it's better to know. That's one of the few good
things I can say about my cancer, at least I know what it is and I know what can be done about.
