So I am 4 days til AF but thinking that I should retest....Then the two faint lines appear for one second and just as my disbelief/excitement sets in, it is back to one very strong negative line?? WTH?
Any ideas?

I would definitely re-test! Maybe it is just a super faint line..

Not to burst the bubble but some tests before they are ready to be read will show two lines as it is processing. Kind of a wash through effect as the urine soaks up. Hence why you may have seen two lines for just a second.
I would wait a bit longer say after AF is due and then retest.

Don't want to disappoint either, but I've seen the same, just for a second, the wash seems to cling then turns into a negative...

Very true!!! They do say the less you worry or stress about TTC the better.. i have OCD.. so very hard, lol....but OCD under control .... Just remember nomatter what - that everything happens for reasons....:)
