I recently found out that my best friend has HPV. She said that the types took up 2 lines on the report page (I think she said she had 11, 16, 18, 35, etc) and they were mostly the ones that put you at "High Risk" for cervical cancer. I did some research for her and told her that I'd be there for her no matter what.

My question is; how do I comfort her? Her first time was the result of date rape and she's only had 2 partners (including the date rape). She's worried it might make her infertile as an end result. Is that common? Also, I was reading about the many types of HPV and some of them cause (?) genital warts. If both of her partners used a condom, how could she have gotten them? I know that condoms are not 100% effective, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Also, can you still be protected against HPV (well, the types that can cause cervical cancer) with the new vaccine (I don't know if I'm allowed to say what it is) even if you have HPV?
